Styles of Dance At JLDS

Hip Hop

A trendy, funky "street" style of jazz that teaches the latest, most popular moves.
 
Clogging

This folk style of tap can be referred to as the "American Riverdance", because of the fast pace and strong moves.  Tap experience is recommended.
 

Ballet

A progression of classes leading to advanced pointe skills.  Enrollment is based upon instructor recommendation.
 

Tap

 

Jazz

 

Danceline

Enables students to prepare for school danceline auditions or to improve their current danceline skills.
 

Lyrical Jazz

An expressive style of jazz taught to slower music, lyrical jazz also incorporates ballet technique.
 

Modern

An interpretive style of dance that utilizes contract and release concepts as well as ballet and jazz techniques.
 

Creative

Pre-ballet/tumbling skills taught to children 3 through kindergarten.
 

Mommy & Me

Share with your child ages 18-36 months the benefits of movement, rhythm, and flexibility.  Fine and gross motor skills will be explored in creative ways.  Activities for both parent and child will be taught.  Dads are welcome too!
